Beafordolls founded an interesting group on flickr for miniature sewing machines. A reason for me finally to take photos of all sewing machines in my collection which I bought quite randomly as these miniatures are really rare.
-photo above - wellknown Lundby sewing machine - which is really really tiny, and the machine in its original sale condition.

  1. Fun to see your sewing machines. I have never seen the one that is hidden in the "wooden cupboard" before. Very interesting.

I have three myself. I have a Lundby machine and also a Renwall machine, that looks the same as the red/yellow one that you have.

  2. Oh, I forgot to say that I think the red/yellow machine that I have, that looks like yours, is a Renwall sewing machine.

  3. thanks Lilsdolls, I just found a lot of machines when googling "Renwall sewing machine" and they just look like mine - but I did not see a cardboard box for it, and my box is with a German inscription - so I think my machine was imported from the USA, and as Renwall ceased to exist in 1956, it is as old as I supposed - thanks again for the identification!

  4. My grandma had one of these 'fold down' machines. My sister has it now - it was a Singer brand.

    Nice blog!
