Rather an exception, introducing a new dolls house in a daily newspaper,
here in an East-German one of 1966.
But the reporter just wanted to illustrate the progress
a partly nationalized firm was making -
with the help of the state of course.
Fortunately we now have an exact date for this country house.
Without it only the plastic window panes reveal that it was made in sixties.

I found two old photos featuring the same house,
on one the father plays with it and on the other one the daughter.
The background shows an interior which we would expect ten years earlier -
typical Fifties, even the apron of the girl.

In the livingroom you see a set made by Crailsheimer in the 60s
 - telling us that the dolls house was exported into West-Germany.

The wonderful dollshouse exhibition catalogue "Traumwelten"
shows this Gottschalk dolls house,
dated between 1955 and 1965.
Again only the window panes made of plastic prove that it is not pre-war,
the style of architecture certainly fits in the 1930s.

Here an ad from the East-German export trading company Demusa
contradicts all assumptions: it was first manufactured as late as 1969.
