In den Fünfziger und Sechziger Jahren waren
Tischkaufläden
sehr beliebt.
Jungen und Mädchen konnten hier zusammen spielen,
denn es ging nicht in erster Linie um Puppen,
es ging um Waren und Geld und Geschäfte.
Die Waren waren oft Markenartikel in Minitaturform,
manchmal mit Puffreis gefüllt.
Spielgeld, Kaufmannsblöcke, Registrierkasse, Rabattmarken,
Waage und vieles mehr gehörten zum Spiel.
Es gab einige Sonderformen von Geschäften,
zum Beispiel die Post, aber sie sind selten.
Normalerweise war der Kaufladen ein Abbild
des Tante-Emma-Ladens um die Ecke,
auch wenn er im Laufe der Sechziger langsam
ein Selbstbedienungssupermarkt wurde -

Mein Kiosk ist in einem sehr schlechten Erhaltungszustand -
was daran liegt, dass er völlig überstrichen bei mir ankam.
Das Auktionsfoto war so aufgenommen worden,
dass ich es nicht erkannte hatte.
Das Dach, die Seiten und der Boden waren in einem einzigen Braunton dick übermalt.
Das Innere in einem Gelbton.
Zum Glück waren die Zierleisten aus Holz nicht überstrichen
und so kaufte ich einen Liter Abbeizer und legte los.

Ich brauchte die ganze Flasche und viele Tage im Garten an der frischen Luft,
bis die dick aufgetragene Farbe sich löste.
Hier das braune Dach, unter dem sich langsam die roten Schindeln zeigen.

Mein Arbeitsplatz im Kies.
Den Kiosk zerlegt ich in seine Bestandteile,
damit ich überall Abbeizer aufpinseln konnte,
der länger einweichen und
sehr oft neu aufgetragen werden musste,
bis die braune und gelbe Farbe endlich verschwunden war.
So eine Restaurierung macht natürlich nur Sinn,
wenn das Objekt sehr selten ist und wohl keine Aussicht
auf eine bessere Version besteht.

Mit dem sehr heruntergekommenem Lack,
der sich darunter befand,
kann ich aber ganz gut leben.
Es sind wenigstens die originalen gedeckten Farbtöne,
und der Inhalt des Kiosk sorgt für die Farbtupfer.
