Die Doppelstube war ursprünglich wie auf diesem Foto eingerichtet.

Links ein Dähnert-Wohnzimmer und rechts ein Rülke-Schlafzimmer.

 Das ist nun mein zweites Wohnzimmer 

von Linus Dähnert aus den Fünfziger Jahren

- über das ich mich sehr freue.

Die Polstergarnitur ist eher altmodisch und nicht im Fünfziger-Jahre-Stil.

Mit dem glänzendem Bezugsstoff wirkt sie sehr elegant.

 This is my second living room
by Linus Dähnert from the fifties
- which I am very happy about.
The upholstered suite is rather old-fashioned and not in the style of the fifties.
It looks very elegant with the shiny upholstery fabric.

 

Die Lampenschirme sind zwar stark beschädigt,

aber aus dieser Perspektive sieht man es nicht ;)

The lampshades are badly damaged,
but you can't see it from this perspective ;) 

 

 

 Das Schlafzimmer sieht leer aus,

auch weil eins der Betten fehlt.

Weil ich dieses Bett wohl in nächster Zeit nicht mehr kaufen kann,

entschied ich mich, hier ein anderes Dähnert-Zimmer

unterzubringen, das im Moment heimatlos war:

die riesige Küche.

Auch wenn die Tapeten und der Boden nicht für eine Küche sprechen.

  The bedroom looks empty,

partly because one of the beds is missing.
Because I probably won't be able to buy this bed any time soon,
I decided to put another Dähnert room here, 

that was homeless at the moment:
the huge kitchen.
Even if the wallpaper and the floor don't speak in favour of a kitchen.

 

 

In dieser Gottschalk-Stube versuchte ich die Küche schon mal unterzubringen,

leider viel zu eng.

I tried to fit the kitchen into this Gottschalk parlour,
unfortunately much too small.

 

Es ist eine Küche, die um Schränke aus einem anderen Set erweitert wurde,

was man an den zwei verschiedenen Türknopffarben sieht.

Es gibt zwei Eckschränke, für den Anbau rechts und für links.

It is a kitchen that has been extended with cupboards from another set,
which you can see from the two different door knob colours.
There are two corner cabinets, one for the extension on the right and one for the left.

A door knob is missing and that is why it can be used as a corner cabinet, too.

Zirkusarena mit Löwen - Circus arena with lions

 

 

 

Ein selbstgebauter Zirkus - ohne das Zelt,

auch ohne Zirkuswagen,

aber mit dem aufgebautem Raubtierkäfig in der Arena.

A self-built circus - without the tent,
even without the circus wagon,
but with the predator cage set up in the arena.

 

 

 

 Aus welchem Material sind die Löwen und der Elefant 

und wie alt mögen sie sein?

Diese Informationen sind leicht zu finden,

es gibt viele gute Sammlerwebseiten.

 What material are the lions and the elephant made of
and how old might they be?
This information is easy to find,
there are many good collectors' websites.

 

 

 

  Löwen der 3. und 4. Generation -1930-50 und 1950-65 - Masse Lineol

 

 Auch der Elefant gehört wohl in diese Zeit.

 

 

 

 

 Die Arena aus Holz kam mit den Tieren und vielen Puppen,

deren Herstellungsdatum von den Fünfzigern bis in die heutige Zeit reichte.

Ich ließ nur die älteren Caco-Puppen auf den Rängen sitzen 

und ergänzte die leeren Plätze mit Cacos aus meiner Sammlung. 

 The wooden arena came with the animals and many dolls,
whose date of manufacture ranged from the fifties to the present day.
I only left the older Caco dolls sitting in the tiers
and filled the empty seats with Cacos from my collection.

 

 

 

Ich denke, dass die Arena in den Sechzigern gebaut wurde.

Die Plakate wurden später erneuert,

die meisten habe ich in älterem Stil selber beklebt.

 I think the arena was built in the sixties.
The posters were replaced later,
most of them I put up myself in an older style.

Die Caco-Zuschauer-Kinder

 

 

 

 Das Zirkusthema begleitet mich schon eine Weile,

obwohl ich nie aktiv danach suche.

Genauso wie der Jahrmarkt.

Es basiert wahrscheinlich auf meiner Faszination für Wohnwagen.

Bis jetzt habe ich noch nicht viele passende Sammlungsstücke,

aber dazu gehört natürlich dieser große Wohnwagen.

 The circus theme has been with me for a while,
although I never actively look for it.
Just like the funfair.
It's probably based on my fascination with caravans.
So far, I don't have many matching collector's items,
but of course this large caravan is one of them.

von Baps gut vorstellen -

sie brauchen allerdings eine ganz bestimmte Bühne.

but they need a very specific stage.

häufig anzutreffen.

 In the fifties, circus-related toys were often to be seen.

a toy which offers many possibilities for play.

Completely detachable tent (70x45x60 cm),

fully plastic figures of wood with dresses 

(17 cm high) and animals, all with movable head,

moveable arms and legs.

With numerous accessories for the arena.

The tractor (27 cm long) with steering wheel

pulls the big trailer (60 cm long) on which the tent,

figures, animals and all other parts for the arena can be transported.

The music waggon (with Thorens musical box) is coupled to the trailer.

All parts are made of wood and lacquered in splendid colours. 

Faces are hand-painted. All vehicles have rubber tires.
