The documentation on the VEB Grünhainichen is somewhat better
than for other GDR toy companies,
because there was a catalogue in loose-leaf form around 1960,
whose photos I was allowed to copy by a collector.
This doll's house dates from 1962
and is unfortunately not pictured there.
Fortunately it was advertised
at least in West Germany.
The advertisement above is from the trade magazine "Das Spielzeug".
Of course, it does not do justice to the colourful doll's house at all.
Let's take a closer look at the "modern living culture" of 1962.
My house was taken apart by the previous owner,
due to lack of space.
There are no instructions for assembly,
as it was not actually a DIY set.
But the numerous photos from other collectors help out.

Peter also
staircase, double doors, garden lamp
and entrance to the house - everything has been thought of to show
modern living culture and contemporary play.
Dimensions: length 735 mm - width (with house entrance)
625 mm - Height 470 mm - Weight 7,7 kg.
On the balcony, in the room, in the garden - the

house entrance with garden light.
The front, sides and also the doors are in shades of green and muted yellow and orange.
Instead, I have chosen furniture that is as colourful as possible.
The Wichtelmarke kitchen and an Edmund Müller living room.
in which the dishcloths could be dried.
Here, it is integrated into the sink cupboard.

Die Seite ist hellblau statt grün.
The side is light blue instead of green.
If you take a closer look at the advertisement at the top,
you will see a large mural on the wall above.
Unfortunately, I have never seen this in a collection anywhere.
which has always fascinated me:
a wooden sign in the garage,
which can only be seen when the garage door is open:
"Fire and smoking prohibited by police!
Caution when running the engines!
Danger of poisoning!"
